Luxury convertibles are, by many measures, the most fun you can have on four wheels. Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar, for instance, make gorgeous convertibles that deliver a sporty yet luxurious ride quality. If you are considering purchasing a luxury car, here’s why it should be a luxury convertible.
Luxury convertibles come with high-tech suspension systems that strike the perfect balance between comfort and performance. In a luxury convertible from Mercedes-Benz you can expect amenities such as heated and ventilated seats, a premium stereo system, and a neck-warming system for those chilly days with the top down.
Fresh Air and Sunshine
A sports sedan or coupe is fun, but it cannot compare to the top-down experience that a convertible is able to offer. Embracing the sunny Dallas weather and fresh breeze in a luxury convertible every morning is a wonderful way to start the day.
Most convertibles look great, but only a luxury convertible from a top brand like Mercedes-Benz can offer the modern, sophisticated European style that turns heads. Whether you are driving down the street or opening the door for your sweetheart, a luxury convertible is designed to leave a lasting impression.
Advanced Safety Technology
Driving in a convertible may feel safe, but at any moment things could change. Fortunately, if you are in a luxury convertible, you will enjoy the benefit of top-notch crash- and rollover-protection technology. Mercedes-Benz convertibles, for instance, come with a slew of airbags, rollover protection devices, impact-absorbing frame technologies, and pre-collision features that warn you if there’s an impending collision or a car in your blind spot.
Most modern Mercedes-Benz convertibles come with a hardtop design that keeps the car extremely well insulated from outside air and noise. If you want to enjoy your convertible as a high-quality coupe during the wintertime, a luxury convertible is your best option.

Luxury vehicles from top brands are designed to provide dependable performance in the most brutal climates. But the benefits of world-class winter-weather resilience cannot be enjoyed without regular vehicle maintenance. For winter maintenance tips that will ensure that your luxury car performs the way it was designed to, read on.
Purchase Winter Wipers
Winter wiper blades are an essential winter maintenance item, as they are more effective at wiping away the slushy mixture of snow, ice, and water that will cut down on your visibility. Install a high-quality pair of wiper blades before winter and be sure to have the wiper fluid inspected and replaced it necessary.
Test the Battery
Winter puts a great deal of stress on your luxury car’s battery. Ask Texas Cars Direct to test the battery’s ability to hold a full charge. If the battery cannot hold or charge or it is approaching the end of its warranty period, replace it this winter before you end up stranded with a dead battery.
Flush the Antifreeze
The ratio between water and antifreeze in your luxury car’s radiator can become out of balance over time. If there’s not enough antifreeze, the radiator fluid could freeze during the winter. Flush and refill the radiator’s fluid reservoir to be on the safe side.
Check the Tires
Check the air pressure once per month and make sure it is at the recommended air pressure levels, found inside of the owner’s manual. Have the tires inspected at a car repair shop to be sure you have enough tread for wintertime.
Wax the Exterior
Protect the beautiful exterior of your luxury vehicle by washing it weekly, and waxing it every month. Wax the headlamp casings too, as this prevents headlight haze that is both unattractive and unsafe.

Many of today’s luxury cars require high-octane gasoline fuel, oftentimes just referred to as “premium” gasoline. But what exactly is high-octane gas, and what makes it premium? The octane rating of gasoline is an indication of how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. When gasoline ignites because of compression rather than the spark from the spark plug, it causes engine knocking, which can damage an engine. Luxury cars oftentimes have high-compression engines that achieve better efficiency and performance than regular-compression engines. These high-compression engines should be fueled by high-octane gasoline. If fueled by regular 87-octane gas, the high-compression engine inside of a luxury car can become seriously damaged.
